“THE LEGEND OF ROZAFA”, THE VOICE OF THE NOVEL “BRIDGE WITH THREE ARCHES” BY ISMAIL KADARE

Adelina XHAFERI

Abstract

The relationship that an old text has with a new one, is one of the most beautiful features in the field of literature. The transfer of different literary elements from old times to present and from popular creators to artistic creators is one of the most special transfers in the world of beautiful words, otherwise known as intertextuality. The last one, emerging from time to time and from one author to another author, could not be far from Ismail Kadare's artistic creations as a creator and representative of the Albanian literature in all the literary spaces of the world. Therefore, it turns out that the first purpose of the paper is to show how the popular legend of Rozafa of Shkodra as an old text is the text on which the new text is built. That is, Kadare's artistic prose selected to be studied in this paper, as literary elements emerge with a second artistic nature. Whereas, as a second goal, the presentation of elements carried over at different times from each other, emerges. In order, to present these two goals within this paper on two selected texts, as well as to present intertextuality as a feature of literature, the method of deduction and the method of analysis will be used.
