Abstract
Language as a means of communication was created together with humanity and it constantly changes and develops together with humanity, representing the changes in the social, political, economic, cultural and scientific activity of the society that speaks that language. Language is always in a constant development process. This process of language changes not only affects the scope and composition of the vocabulary of the language, but also enables its further development, and those changes and evaluations are directly reflected in the dictionary or in the vocabulary. The language of a nation, though characterized by a literary (standard) language of that nation, that language is diverse in its geographical position.
The subject of this paper is a group of words from the field of pomology in the Albanian Languages. For the preparation of this topic, we chose the analytical method, and sometimes we will also use the comparative method (comparison with the Macedonian language), in order to reach the desired conclusions. An important place is occupied by proverbs that were created by the people in different eras of life. Of all the proverbs that contain lexemes from this group of words with the meaning of fruit, some refer to the seasons (weather conditions, natural phenomenon, climatic conditions, etc.), and some to humanity. Proverbs are realized through comparison or metaphor. From the comparative analysis of these lexemes, which are the object of our work, we come to the conclusion that some of these lexemes have double connotations. Having in mind the fact that the names of plants (pomology), our people usually use them with a positive meaning, and has a positive attitude towards them, but at the proverbs the opposite appears.
