TYPES OF MARRIAGES AND PANAGJYR IN VILLAGES OF KUMANOVO

Abstract
Albanians have been described as an endogamous tribe for their way of life with canonical norms and codes, which, although long have been neglected, have a continuity that today appears as relics, since they have dictated the organization of life for a long time. Although it is a matter of remnants, the canon has been respected by Albanian society, without understanding that it is a historical flow conceived as a tradition, which becomes a point of national identity. In the context of tradition in certain areas, as is the case with the research in Kumanovo, we have focused on understanding the historical and cultural flow and the specifics of the villages of this region. Searching the specifics and the canon as a remnant, we focused on marriages, more precisely on the types of marriages, how it is conceived by the inhabitants, how this has changed over the years and certain periods, which also brought us to the so-called panagjyr.
