THE STAGES OF THE PENETRATION OF ORIENTALISMS INTO THE ALBANIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract
In this study, the issue of Orientalisms in the Albanian language is examined, specifically focusing on the historical stages through which they have penetrated the language.
The purpose of this paper is to provide scholars with a broader overview of the pathways through which Orientalisms entered the Albanian language. This is intended to ensure that every new researcher, alongside etymological analysis, also becomes familiar with the historical stages and the circumstances under which these Orientalisms were incorporated into Albanian.
Throughout the research for this scientific paper, several important scientific methods have been employed: the historical method, which was used to gather the necessary information regarding the presence of Orientalisms in different periods of Albanian history; the analytical method, which was used to analyze historical data and the Orientalisms of each stage; the comparative method, which was used to compare Orientalisms across different periods; and the descriptive method, which was used to describe the research issue itself.
The findings of this study are manifold, but the most important is that Orientalisms in the Albanian language were mainly introduced during the Ottoman period. However, a number of them, although not significant in quantity, also penetrated the Albanian language before and after the Ottoman era.
