FORMATION OF COMPOUND WORDS IN FAIK KONICA’S PROSE

Abstract
In enriching the lexicon of the Albanian language, besides other ways, composition plays an important role also.
In this paper, are analyzed the compound words in the prose “Four tales from Zulluland”, “Albania as it seemed to me”, “Dr. Gjilpëra (Needle) discovers the roots of the drama of Maumrras”, “Albania – the Rocky Garden of Southeast Europe”. “ and other writings (That strange Country – Albania, Racial origin, Albanians: the Keys to Understanding their Life and their Nature, Painterly Kilt, Martial Traits, Language and literature, Bejlers and Bajraktars, Language and Literature, Religion, Farewell Albania of the Bird) from Faik Konica.
Through the method of word analysis and classification, compound words are divided according to their lexical-grammatical value, that is, grouped into nominal compound, compound modifier and adverbial compound words and according to the construction, according to the lexical-grammatical value of the members.
The results of the conducted research prove that the language of Konica is quite rich in compound words of which compound modifier of the noun + adjective type dominate the most.
