THE IMMIGRANTS' FATE IN THE NOVEL "BORDER" BY LUAN STAROVA

Abstract

In the text, we will refer to the migratory fate of a Balkan family and the traumatic experience of crossing the border, all of which was masterfully painted by Starova's pen in his novel "Border" (2017). The novel deals with five stories about the border, and the author, in the role of a chronicler, tells that common story about it, and says: "over time, we became people - borders, wherever fate led us" (Starova , 2017: 14). If we look at the history of mankind, we will see that migration has been an integral part of history throughout the centuries.
