Jehona Rushidi-Rexhepi
Abstract
Fatos Arapi is one of the contemporary authors who is mainly mentioned with his poetry. This paper aims to address an aspect which is not at all studied in his prose, concretely, reading from the point of view of the theory of intertextuality. The focus will be directed on his prose, such as: “I died on the banks of the Ionian”(Unë vdiqa në brigjet e Jonit), “Husk of snow” (Cipa e dëborës) and “Marko Bocari of the Suljots” (Marko Boçari i Suljotëve). The aim is to underline the relations that text opens to previous texts. Furthermore, will be shown the ways of signaling the presence of intertextual relations and the application of terminology deriving from the theory of intertextuality over concrete examples. In presenting these, the paper will also note the text's relationship to history and folklore. The phenomenon of citation, finding examples and classifying them, will be realized within intertextual relations.
